National Day Heritage Walk
On 8 August 2024, our school held a special National Day Heritage Walk, a celebration that brought students and teachers together in a meaningful exploration of our nation’s rich history and vibrant culture.
The walk commenced at about 8.00 am from various meeting points located at the heart of Singapore. Students and staff set out on a carefully planned route that covered significant historical sites in the town. Each stop on the route was accompanied by informative sessions led by Peer Support Leaders, who facilitated simple and fun tasks and trivia on the importance of each location to our national history.
The walk culminated in a picnic by the waterfront and a sing-along to some of our favourite National Day songs led by Choir members. Our Parent Support Group graced our celebratory event by preparing quiz questions and distributing snack packs to everyone. The experience not only provided a fun and engaging way to learn about our cultural heritage but also, fostered a sense of unity and national pride among participants.
